Benjamin Low Appointed as Vice President of APAC for Proofpoint

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – August 17, 2010 – Proofpoint, Inc., the leading provider of SaaS email security, email archiving and data loss prevention solutions, today announced the appointment of Benjamin Low as vice president of APAC. Low will be responsible for heading up Proofpoint's sales efforts in the APAC region which includes expanding Proofpoints distribution and reseller base, focusing on medium and large enterprise companies, and driving awareness of Proofpoint's best in class cloud-based email security, compliance and archiving solutions. In previous positions, Low has effectively positioned cloud-based technologies with key accounts and service providers within the APAC region.

Prior to joining Proofpoint, Low was Cisco's Ironport Asia Regional Director, where he was in charge of the region's go-to-market strategy and sales growth of Cisco Borderless Network Security and Ironport solutions. Prior to Cisco, Low was the Managing Director for McAfee in their Enterprise Security Unit covering ASEAN and India, leading sales and services. He was also previously responsible for leading Secure Computing's sales and operations in ASEAN and India for five years. Before joining Secure Computing, Low was Sales Director, APAC at Entrust, a digital identities and information company. He was also responsible for establishing Entrust's operations in North Asia, ASEAN and India. In addition, Low held key sales roles at a number of leading IT vendors, including Computer Associates, RSA Security and Singapore Computer Systems.

Low holds a MBA from the University Of Adelaide, Australia and completed an International Management Program from Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2007.
